DALLAS (May 18, 2023) – TDIndustries, premier mechanical construction and facilities service firm, proudly serves the community by hosting the annual Bent Iron Golf Tournament of North Texas. This prestigious event raises funds to support educational programs that develop talent within the construction industry and the skilled trades. In 2022, the sold-out event raised a remarkable $32,000 for the TEXO Foundation, a 510(c)(3) dedicated to building the next generation of construction professionals through workforce development among colleges, high schools, and the community.
Members of TDIndustries’ leadership team assembled at the TEXO Foundation office in Dallas, Texas, to present a check for $32,000 to Meloni Raney, the foundation’s president and CEO.
“It was an honor to do this for the TEXO Foundation. On behalf of TDIndustries, we were thrilled to present TEXO Foundation with a $32,000 check to continue its great work,” said Matt Johnson, Business Development Manager with TDIndustries’ Dallas Construction Team.
The tournament and accompanying donation support from a variety of vendors and sponsors helps bolster the career pipeline among trade and construction professionals and inspire the next generation to trailblaze.
“It was evident that the community was eager to support TEXO Foundation,” said Matt Terry, Executive Vice President of Dallas Construction for TDIndustries. “This was the tenth annual Golf Tournament. This year, we raised the largest amount in the tournament’s history.” In 2021, the event raised $18,000 that was presented to the Construction Education Foundation (CEF), a foundation that provides exemplary construction industry training and seeks to cultivate a highly qualified and technically trained workforce. Matt Terry shared insight regarding the TEXO Foundation’s crucial role in developing the next generation of construction professionals and tradespeople. “The TEXO Foundation’s leadership is working hard, in partnership with many other organizations, to solve the biggest challenge that we have in our industry – strengthening the talent pipeline,” said Terry.
