Baylor University, chartered in 1845, is the oldest continually operating university in Texas. It’s home to about 21,000 students in the heart of Waco, Texas. TDIndustries took over facilities management responsibilities in the summer of 2024. More than 140 TD employees work to provide HVAC and plumbing maintenance and service and general building services across the 1,000-acre campus.

Project Complexity
TDIndustries provides operations facility management for the entire Baylor campus. This includes general maintenance, HVAC, mechanical, key services, moving and hauling services, and a 24/7 call center. The team is also responsible for the central utility plant, called the Baylor Energy Complex, which powers steam and chilled water across campus with three boilers and eight chillers. As part of the multi-year agreement, TD and Baylor are collaborating to plan for operational improvements across the campus.
