DFW Airport - Terminal C
See All ProjectsProject Overview:
This revolutionary engineering and construction project, likely the first of its kind at an airport in the United States, involved the prefabrication of six modular units built off-site and transported over a mile across an airfield overnight to their location. Structures were moved while the existing gates were still in use by American Airlines.

Project Complexity
TD was contracted to do the core shell mechanical and plumbing above grade for the project as the mechanical subcontractor. This was the first modular project of this type and scale. Off-site prefabrication and simultaneous work resulted in significant time and cost savings for the project. For its work on the project, TDIndustries received a first-place award in the Specialty Contractor – Mechanical 1 ($0 - $5M) category of the 2023 TEXO Awards.
