Project Overview:
The Texas Rangers wanted players and fans to enjoy summer baseball in air-conditioned comfort, so Globe Life Field, with its retractable roof, was opened in 2020. TD provided the HVAC, ducting and plumbing work for the entire building. This stadium seats 40,000 and features many luxurious upgrades. Since its opening, TD has provided full facilities operations and maintenance for the stadium.

TDIndustries, which has a long history of work on domed stadiums, installed nearly 1.9 million pounds of sheet metal, 26 miles of hydronic pipe, 860 water closets, and 2,600 total plumbing fixtures in 30 months on this design-assist project. TD also assisted with specific anchor strategies common on retractable roof stadiums. For its work on the project, TDIndustries received the 2021 ABC Eagle Award at the National Excellence in Construction Awards.
