Project Overview:
TD, as a Job Order Contracting (JOC) specialty contractor, has helped the University of Arizona with service and maintenance of its Tucson campus since 2022. Covering 20-30 buildings on campus, TD provides service and maintenance support for the university’s mechanical construction operations including HVAC, plumbing and piping. Current projects in addition to overall service include backflow and air compressor replacements.

Project Complexity
Recent projects TD supported as a Job Order Contracting (JOC) specialty contractor include: replacement of steam isolation valves and installation of new control valves/actuators at McKale Arena; replacement of heat exchanger serving the feedwater economizer for the Central Heating and Refrigeration Plant (CHRP); installation of tanks and all associated mechanical piping for wind tunnel project, capable of Mach 9 speeds. For the wind tunnel project, all piping was Schedule 160, with every joint and weld X-ray tested.
